October 15-16, Corn Roasting Demonstration with Halaayvi Monongye. Friday night at 6pm – 7 pm and Saturday sunrise at 6:30 am. Mr. Monongye (Hopi) is a farmer and traditional food advocate. In this workshop he will demonstrate the traditional way of cooking corn overnight in a pueblo bread oven. Friday night the corn will be loaded into the oven at 6 pm, then at sunrise the following morning the corn will come out and be shared with participants.
